Bioweapon are the Australian duo not to be messed around with. These guys have literally popped out of nowhere and have taken the Hardstyle scene by storm with many awesome releases that are both uplifting and at the same time very rough. You can already imagine Sam fist pumping away in the studio/at any party these guys perform at and Corey just quietly chilling away. The duo are a typical "yin yang" combination. One being the quiet type and the other being a raging bull on stage.
The duo have signed to one of the biggest Hardstyle labels in the scene - Scantraxx and have already proven they're worthy within the scene. Besides Hardstyle, Bioweapon likes to experiment with other styles of (hard) dance music under their Techno/Hard Trance alias BRK3.
But enough with the chit chat, let's get on with checking out this E.P.
Cosmic Destination 2010
Let me be honest, straight off the bat. This release isn't something that's very 'new' to my ears, but it doesn't take away the fact that it is still a nice melodically rough track. It took me a while to find a spot in my "Like" box for this one, but it has kind of grown on me. What always catches my attention everytime I listen or play this track is the sample they used in their "Max Enforcer - Gold" remix. I suppose it makes a great connection to one of their previous releases, being the previously mentioned "Gold" (which is one of my personal favorites).
The guitar riff is a nice touch, I seem to be hearing this kind of riff more and more, but that's not a bad thing. The kicks are nice and crisp, piercing through the melody. However, what put me off at first are the high pitched kicks which come in close to the end. I didn't expect it, but after a few listens, I thought it was quite a cool addition.
Sam won't like hearing this, but I'm giving this a 'mild' 2 armed fist pump.

Eternal Vision
This is actually quite a nice track. The synth reminds me of the one used in "Noisecontrollers - Astral". It sounds nice an spacey.
I can't say much, other than this is a straight forward jump around track that brings a smile to your face. The outro sounds pretty nice as well, with a funky detuned Nintendoesque type sound and pretty raw kicks.
What more can be said about this track other than it being a pure dancefloor filler that will please anyone. Given the correct atmosphere, out in the open on a summer's day - the sun in your face, a cold beer in your hand and this track blaring through the speakers, I can already imagine it giving you that great summery feeling.
No fist pump awards for this one, however it does get my "smile-on-face-beer-in-hand-hands-in-air" award! And I'm hoping my summer festival predictions are correct!

What I didn't really like about this E.P is the fact that I can't exactly identify these tracks as Bioweapon tracks. But, as an artist, experimenting with different sub-styles is never a bad thing and these guys will still remain one of my favorite Hardstyle artists.
Now, it's time to chuck my feet in some thongs, crack open a beer and chuck a steak on the barbie while singing Waltzing Mathilda!
