Code Black... the new hype in the Hardstyle scene, and with good reason.
Corey Soljan, the man behind the new Code Black project and former member of Bioweapon has always had a heart for Raw Hardstyle. And Fusion has welcomed this Aussie with open arms, allowing him to let loose a barrage of new, Code Black Hardstyle into the world. And don't think this track will be the only one to see the light of day in the next few weeks, no sir.. Code Black and Fusion plan to release a steady flow of Code Black Hardstyle every few weeks, with a stockpile of tracks just bouncing around in the Fusion Labs waiting to be let loose.

With his first E.P as Code Black, he wants to show the world what his vision is (literally) and has produced this pounding track which is both raw and emotionally euphoric. Starting with a funky intro, he sets the tone with a deep, distorted kick. The mid intro breaks off into a nice, deep kick with a great screech to compliment it. I'll start off with a great round of applause, producing a kick with such a low tone isn't easy without losing its power and as far as I'm concerned, the power and drive in the kick remains equal throughout the track. So, big ups for that.

After a great vocal interlude, which is pretty fitting: "Let my vision inside you", the track breaks off into a nice melodic piece of Hardstyle. You'd expect "Visions" to be one hell of a Raw/Dark track, but we all know the Australians still need to add that small piece of emotional epicness, and I love that... Oof, had a little fly in my eye *flicks away a tear*.

To conclude, Visions is a very well produced track with great kicks and and equally great melody and synth. Code Black sure has set the bar high for himself, and I'm very curious as to what blasts out those Fusion doors with the next release (although we can pretty much guess that from all the previews floating around). And be sure that Fear.FM reviewers will be following Code Black very carefully, so keep a look out for the next review.

On behalf of Fear.FM, I'd like to welcome Code Black.

Look at my posts.

I like proper hardstyle, i started listening to hardstyle in 2009 through shuffle and jumpstyle videos and started listening to a lot of nu-style. I think after hearing 1000 nu-style tracks (i loved nu-style at this stage) i found it very boring and weak. Then i read more about the history of hardstyle, how it evolved and started listening to some early hardstyle and hardstyle from 2004-06 and i loved it, not every track is the same and it was hard. I called myself a hardstyle lover listening to really weak kicks but that's not what hardstyle is about. So then, i thought, a genre could not just die, and started looking for hardstyle today and found that the stuff is right by me in the uk. I started listening to these labels: Harderstyles records, reverse bass uk records, domination digital, overdose digital. Oh and i now buy all my tracks to help the scene, see before i was ripping tracks from youtube as im sure all young kids like me are doing...And i believe that hardstyle should be hard and realise the difference and don't like nu-style. If hardstyle would be completely dead i think i would have to come to terms that hardstyle evolves and listen to early hardstyle only (from the hard stream on fearfm Happy ) but hardstyle is not dead, although many tracks are not creative and so on, it is still hard. I'm sure you know all this cause your from scotland Happy So i listen to imo hardstyle and am now completely against nu-style. If people wanna open dj mos topics, you will see positive comments otherwise i will voice my opinion. Why should i comment at all, because i feel that i should have a "choice for hardstyle's direction" and i support the scene unlike many others. Lastly, i listen to hardstyle on average 6 hours a day, so i think i'm a hardstyle lover, what do you think?

So, Nu-style is just too weak and commercial for me...doesn't mean i don't like hardstyle
