It has been a while since I’ve done a review but I couldn’t resist writing about the newest release from Digital Punk entitled “Can’t Be Stopped E.P.”. This release is a 2-tracker, the first track is from Digital Punk together with MC Jeff, and the second track is a remix of their older track “Keep It Bouncing”, by Leonardo Toni aka The R3belz.

Digital Punk has become one of the best producers out there all of a sudden. His album ‘Escape From Reality’ is one of the best albums from the past couple of years and ever since it was released he has been making superb tracks. This new track together with MC Jeff is no different.
This track hasn’t got that typical intro-midintro-climax-outro structure, this time he went for something different. After the intro you immediately get drained into the break, it builds up to the climax. The vocals have a kind of dark atmosphere, which I approve of. There are two things Digital Punk has improved on in my opinion: melodies and kicks. His melodies always have a darker side to them, not uplifting but a bit harder than the usual more commercial stuff that gets released nowadays. Everyone who likes a proper pounding kick will definitely like the one in this track. The kick has a nice deep punch, which makes it sound really good. It’s a pretty short track, but a very powerful one as well. Production wise, this is a top quality work from Digital Punk.

Second track on this release is Digital Punk ft. MC Jeff – Keep It Bouncing (The R3belz Remix). This track proves that Leonardo is capable of making great music. The R3belz were always known for their combination of hard intros and melodic climaxes, and the intro in this track is quite powerful. As always, Leonardo has provided us with a raw kick, together with some nice screechy noises and it makes for an incredible start to the track. For me the climax part is better than the original track, the melody has some more feeling and creates a nice dark atmosphere during the break and buildup. The kicks in the climax part are different than those from the intro and outro, but they are sweet and very suiting for the track nonetheless.
For me this is one of the best releases of January so far, a nice track from Digital Punk and a very good remix by The R3belz make this a must have for your collection.
