Dutch Master - You Are The Sound
Dutch Master – You Are The Sound
On the 29th of August DMW will release another banger: Dutch Master – You Are The Sound. We have to wait another week for it to be released, but here's a review already!
This track sounds really cool in my opinion and I will try to explain why.
It takes off with a decent intro for mixing. Then you hear vocals counting off and a small break kicks in with the vocals cutting in and a little melody line. The mid which comes afterwards got me thinking about older DMW releases, which I really enjoyed. Then another small breaks starts with a tiny plucking synth (using the same melody as the bassline which suits the second mid). That part especially makes me smile because it really has a vintage feeling about it although the track is totally new. This part is my favorite piece of the track; in its simplicity it reaches a great atmosphere. That atmosphere gets even better when the vocals ('yeah yeah!') and an extra synth add to it. This feeling continues in the first climax too, but of course there’s a breakdown before it with a good buildup to the main part. The first climax feels a bit surprising too: again one synth draws a melody instead of the full layered range Dutch Master drew in the break. Later on this full range of synths gets added to the track again to make the climax complete. After the climax it feels like the plucking synth is about to get its turn again but Dutch Master decided to be original and add a different outro mid to it which fits and is useful to mix with.
Enough with the descriptive part, overall this track feels a bit vintage to me in a perfectly mixed 2011 way which makes it original and perfect for the dancefloor. It made me think of a title of Fatboy Slim which suits this track: Build It Up, Tear It Down. I bet this track will do its job in the charts! Let’s see if you enjoy this one as much as I do too!
