For many hardstyle lovers, this is a very long awaited and very welcomed release by Frontliner. As you can expect, we have been served up with a huge blend of very awesome Frontliner style kicks and euphoric melodies. In this whopping 4 tracker EP, we're treated to bone crushing kickdrums which I'm very certain will blow many partygoers a good few meters from where they were fist pumping to the beat.

Frontliner - Discorecord
I remember hearing this track in a compilation CD last year. It may well of been the compilation of a Belgian festival "The Qontinent 2010" CD. In any case, it has been a very long wait to finally get my hands on it. With it's great atmosphere and high pitched arppegiated synth in combination with a great kick, it's great for some awesome and energetic moments at a party.

Frontliner - Good & Evil
From the moment the ticking of that clock kicks in, I was sold. What a banging track with brutally heavy kicks that are guaranteed to blow the beer out of your hand at any party. Well, that was until the mid intro left us begging for more and the break got us ready for a climax, which I'm sorry to say didn't blow my mind. Unlike the title leads us to believe, the climax wasn't Evil at all and kind of left me wondering where those euphoric melodies went. Something Frontliner has managed to do time after time. It just felt a little out of tune to me.

Frontliner - Just a Track
Again, the intro and outro were quite exciting. Unfortunately, the climax kick in combination with the melody - which in this case was more interesting - left me hanging with a look of discomfort on my face. But we've got to give it to him, Frontliner does know how to bring on some very diverse kicks. I'm sure huge sound systems will surely surpass the little miniscule Sennheiser earphones I'm listening through now. So guys, hold on to those beers, as I'm fairly certain they'll also be knocked out of your hand by a shockwave of bass.

Frontliner - Rebirth of the Sun
Awesome reverse bassline with a great break (which may be a tad too long) but WOW, what a great emotional feeling. Are those tears welling up in my eyes? No, it's just dust... The break builds up to one awesome climax. The only thing which disappoints me about this track is that I can't stand up and fist pump in a euphoric rage while blasting this track through my earphones in the office. What a lovely release and surely does make up for the previous tracks which, in my opinion, didn't quite live up to the Frontliner branding.

As a total package, this is an awesome release with a great variation of sounds. Some tracks softer than others while others just rip the skin off your face with a bass that hits you like a hurricane.

It was a long wait, but a wait well worth it!

Yep, an honest review. IMHO Just a track is an ok track, maybe not Frontliners style but not bad at all. But you're right about Good & Evil, the melody sounds like a first try in FL Studio. It gives me a headache. No Cheer

Very nice! But Good & Evil... the melody is ok, but Frontliner can do much better, and that low kicks doesn't sound good to the melody Confused

If you ignore the melody then Good & Evil is actually a good song Happy

Discorecord is definitely my fave song of the EP
