Last week, Pavelow (half of the Noisecontrollers) treated us to something different, something which, in my opinion, is great to chill out to. Dubstyle, in the form of "Beautiful and Rich".
I could appreciate this change, as it's something fresh and there aren't many (or maybe not at all) Dubstyle releases. However, after all these funky tracks being released at Digital:Age, I guess I needed my dose of good ol' Hardstyle.

That's where this release comes in, and it enters with a "Big Bang"!.
Straight off the bat, I'm extremely happy the Noisecontrollers haven't lost the sound that made them unique. This is the typical Noisecontrollers sound. No frills, no bells and funky whistles, just straight forward Hardstyle which has been produced with great finesse. Noisecontrollers are renowned for their phenomenal sound design in their tracks, and this is no exception.

Even if you don't like this track for what it is, you still need to stand in awe as each and every sound blasts through your speakers or headphones with great clarity and precision.
The intro is rock solid with a nice sturdy kick and distorted sounds panning around in the distance. This is classic Noisecontrollers goodness!
Coming back to the kick; unfortunately I can't judge too correctly about the kick seeing as though I'm slamming this baby through puny earbuds, which totally cuts out any bass.
The punch is nice, it's clear and hard but the "whoom", which honestly is what makes Hardstyle, isn't very audible when writing this, but I'm sure I can be forgiven for that, right? I'm sure the Noisecontrollers have given it enough slam to blow you away.
Even the good old Noisecontrollers synth has made its return. Ok, granted that this isn't one of their most recent productions, I'm still glad to hear it and of course to finally play it in one of my sets.
I can probably safely say that this is a cross between raw and euphoric Hardstyle, with most of the emphasis being on the raw side. You may not aggree with the euphoric comment, but if a melody gives me shivers or chills, then that's euphoric. Ie: it gives me a feeling of utter euphoria even if the melody is quite dark.
The overall feeling of this track leans quite close to its older sibling "Samara". Samara is another one of those special tracks that remains extremely hard and rough, but still allows you to experience the feeling of complete euphoria. That's exactly what "Big Bang" has managed to do.

Fortunately for me, I haven't heard this track live too many times. It could also mean I don't visit enough parties, but I'm quite sure the Noisecontrollers haven't dropped this too much in the recent past. Nowadays, they usually stick to their more "softer" Hardstyle counterparts which have been released earlier on Digital:Age.
If you want complete diversity in your Hardstyle music but still like the mainstream sound, then look no further than Noisecontrollers. Up until now, they've given us amazing tracks like "Crump", "Attack Again" (which is still one of my personal favorites), "Samara", "Gimme Love", "Big Bang", "Summer in the City" to name a few, and of course countless other outstanding tracks under their other aliases (beit in duo or solo) like SMD, Killer Clown, Kasparov, Pavelow, Williams Syndrome and most probably a handful of other aliases I've forgotten to mention (or don't know of).
In other words, Noisecontrollers can do anything and they're sure as hell controlling this Hardstyle "noise".

In light of this, yes amazing, release I'll be handing out my long lost fistpumping trophy which has been gathering dust the last couple of reviews.
Big Bang is a stomper, there's no doubting that. It's hard, it's brutal, the sound design is extraordinary and has still been given its dosage of euphoria to literally blow my mind. This romperstomper has been given my double armed fist pump with the lethallity of a 5 barrelled shotgun!

Let us know what you think about Big Bang in the comment section "BE-LOOOOWWW".
Oh and before I get, it may be a little too late, but on behalf of Fear.FM I'd like to wish Arjan a very happy birthday!

Best song released on Digital:Age yet, in my opinion. I like the experimental style of the most of the releases too and all, but this is a true masterpiece. Furthermore, I think that the track leans more towards the side of "euphoric" than to that of "raw". The kick and the melody really don't fit into the stereotype of raw, at least not in the image that I have of it.
