Time to discuss the latest release on TTM, Producer at work, DJ Promo! Everyone knows that when this man goes into the studio, something big is going to happen, those who don’t believe it should check out this 2-Tracker release: Tunnel Vision/I Kept The Faith.

Tunnel Vision
The beginning of the track is pretty basic like every track usually is. You can hear all kind of sounds at the background, some high screechy sounds and some low synths. The low synths will play a bigger roll when the intro kicks come in. Right before the kicks there is a short vocal part, a male voice saying ‘Can’t hear nothing but the rhythm’ and then someone screams ‘Go’. You know what to do now, time to go mad as the kicks come in. The kicks are in my opinion a bit softer than what someone would expect for hardcore, but they fit perfectly in this track. The intro is kind of short so we’ll get to the climax part in no time. First it’s time for the break, the break starts with some tweaked sounds followed by a male voice who says "I’m Tripping". This is when the melody buildup starts, it’s sounds like an organ which isn’t the most used sound for Hardcore, but it's pretty sweet. 'Tunnel Vision, can’t see nothing but my mission, can’t hear nothing but the rhythm’, sounds like this came straight out of Promo’s mouth as he only had one mission, to create an awesome track. The melody has got some trance influences which Promo has used before already, but for some reason he always succeeds in creating something great. The melody goes well together with the kicks as I said before, they aren’t very hard, but the climax part isn’t that hard either. The climax part is a sort of artwork, I never expected something like this would be awesome within the Hardcore scene, but that’s what makes Promo unique, combining all sorts of music styles.

There’s also a second climax part, the melody is a bit different, but it still sounds great.
The outro is the same as the intro, same sounds and kicks so nothing much to say about this besides saying it’s a good outro.

I Kept The Faith
First thing which immediately came to my mind was that it’s produced at a very low BPM. I’m used to listening to Hardcore starting from 170 BPM so this was quite a surprise. I can’t really judge it at such a slow tempo so I pitched it before I started judging it. The intro is intriguing, you can feel the tension building up throughout the entire intro part. Basslines get heavier, sounds are added which eventually lead us to the intro kicks. The kicks sound a lot harder than those from Tunnel Vision, so you can expect some harder stuff in this track. After the intro there’s a short break before the midintro kicks in, the midintro has a repetitive sound pattern to support the kicks, that’s what midintro’s are for, get you hyped for the climax! After the midintro there’s another break, this time it will lead us to the climax. The break starts with some vocals followed by the melody buildup. The melody is pretty basic and not too complicated which automatically makes it harder, the screechy sounds he used for the short melody sound great together with the hard kicks. A kick ass climax is the least you can say about this!

Promo always keeps the faith in himself and Hardcore and this results in top quality tracks coming out his studio all the time. The outro is the same as the midintro, hard and banging, not an outro you can stand still to!

This release is another incredible creation of art from DJ Promo. Anyone who loves his style should definitely check out this release as I am 100% sure they’ll like it!

I kept the Faith. Vette shit! Lekker freaky.

Tunnelvision... duidelijk tunnel-visie ja. Had wel wat origineler gemogen, dit heeft promo al zo vaak gedaan. Zonde.
