A dark and mysterious vocal sets what can only be described as a sinister atmosphere ending with the words “…and now we’ve come for you”. Bang! The powerful and punchy kick floods your speakers, throwing you into a very energetic intro. It continues along its path of darkness with the use of eerie and short screeching sounds. It all merges into an extremely fitting way to start off the track.

The break is less about the vocal and more about the melody buildup. A simple short reminder of the track title and then Tartaros begins to ease you into the climax. Short bursts of the synth begin to grow into something more powerful with each wave. Finally it all comes to a peak. More words of darkness take you to the very brink and then it finally drops into the climax. The melody works very well with that hard and clean kick from the intro to make this track perfect for the dancefloor.

The outro is a variation of the intro but is a fair ending to a monster track filled with energy. I can definitely see this track sending crowds into a frenzy.

The second track on this release starts off with a collection of different sounds. It would be hard to call them screeches but they have a similar element, they are certainly distinct. As the intro works to insure a party feeling and provides you with the urge to show some sort need to dance, it cuts out. You’re left with a dwindling sound of the intro, leading on to few simple and almost trance-like synth notes.

Vocals fade in, setting the mood once again. They do their job of engulfing you in in the track with a calming tone. As the words are spoken, you can hear the track building up in the background. All of a sudden you are faced with a few faded screeches and the words “lightning seems dark!” as the track kicks in. The use of the intro with recently built up screeches marriage perfectly into a fantastic drop!

Back come the vocals for approximately 10 seconds, followed by what I would say is the best part of the track. The second climax will be a surge of authority amongst crowds due to its awesome power. The track ends the same way it began, but leaving a strong impact on all of those who have heard it.

To conclude, this release is proof of Juul’s ability as an artist and both tracks will work well for todays hardstyle crowd. I predict 2012 will be a big year for both Tartaros and The Magic Show Records. This is only his second solo release, which makes it very clear that there is more to come!
