After a short intro the first main-part of the track kicks in with the vocals, which describe the atmosphere for the whole track. Re-invent Yourself! A deep pounding bassline combined with a good female vocal always works. It works even better when the vocals make sense. The vocalist is probably the same as the one in Catfight and Utta Wanka, this time with a less bitchy, but still very powerful, message. The lyrics, especially the part: “Shit-hot in January, but then forgotten in December” applies to the hardstyle scene of today, as almost everyone wants fresh beats. So Technoboy advocates for re-invention, or your reputation is dead. With this production he brought another original track to the scene so I guess he kept those lyrics in mind.

The first main part has decent screech and cool vocals, I call it a main part and not a mid-intro. The coolest thing in this track is the flow of it, it just keeps on going. The break is shorter than 30 seconds. This no-nonsense build-up is perfect for the dancefloor. The climax contains a simple melody which fits with the straight forward approach of the track. That climax comes with a pitching bassline, but this one goes quite deep which makes it even better. After that, the outro appears. It contains the same elements as the first main-part and tears down quite fast.

To summarise, this track has a great flow, vocals which make sense and a no-nonsense approach. These elements will certainly make you want to party when you hear it live!

Good summary, but am I the only one that thinks that something went wrong at mixdown?
I mean the main melody is basically in-audible during the climax, or should I say, the main melody is very muddy and not as "descriptive" as it should be.

.... or has this been done on purpose? Happy

When i listen to it is hardly recognizable Rayn, you got a point but i think technoboy put FX like this on purpose on the main melody, in the break it sounds good but when the bassline kicks in it is kind of distant indeed. But nothing too bad, and it sounds great at clubs Shiny

When i listen to it on youtube, then it sounds like it's allready in a far too great music hall or something and not in a studio...

Wondering what this will look like when it is actually in a great music hall... will it heart your ears... Tongue

Nontheless, the track on it's own sounds great!

That's the reverb, and done on purpose. I heard it in Takens and de Radstake, not big but sounded awesome...

I hear what you mean, but sounds like either someone put the kick just a bit too loud, or they liked the bit of sidechaining that's going on with the overdose of reverb because of it Wink
