Buongiorno my friends! Welcome to a new fresh and tasty review of one of the latest tracks in Hardstyle world. Today we have a delicious Italian surprise waiting for you, which will definitively make you drool on your sound-system for a minute or 10. The two Hardstyle veterans DJ Vortex and Francesco Zeta decided to make a collaboration once again to serve you the finest kicks, screeches and pumping melodies. This release has 3 tracks containing one remix of another classic collab between these guys. Will they make the high expectations (due to their previous releases) come true? Let’s find out!
You
We begin this release with a typical Italian starter. A really fresh sounding uplifting melody combines perfectly with the crunchy kicks and subtle vocal. (’You want to dance, dance?’) I think the style our Italian friends created here is typical for the Italian Hardstyle which I am so fond of. I like the energy in the mid-intro melody, which has been given extra power thanks to a bold kick with nice full basses. And while this mid-intro kick gives you the feeling of being sucked away in its pumping bass, the kick in the ‘smart-matching-climax-melody' is much more of an army boot, kicking you in your pretty little face. And I mean that in the positive way of course ;-) The nice tasting combination of these perfectly mixed elements has been topped of with lots of additional sounds which makes this track complete and a joy to listen to!
Music is life
The next track on this release, ‘Music is Life’, begins with a slightly more chaotic mid-intro with a sharp and screaming sounding screech. Also one of the very typical Italian Hardstyle elements I like so much. I also like it how the kicks build up from subtle to raw in the first part of this track. After this, the melody starts to build up, which will definitely put a smile on your face when you are on a party while throwing your hands in the air! Ok, it may be a little cheesy, but I don't think that will be a problem since our chaotic screech is back with the mid-intro soon enough which definitely won’t allow you to stand still.
Daydream (Remix 2011)
Alright, time for dessert. And these Italian artists serve it in the form of a tasteful remix of one of their own tracks 'Daydream'. Maybe for some people this title doesn't immediately ring a bell, but when hearing the vocal of this track I am sure you'll recognize it! I really love the original of this track because of its uplifting melody and great sounds, but I must say that with remixing it, "Vorti & Zed" let the original way behind. The kicks are way more clear, and in some way the whole mix sounds more professional. The melody is more euphoric and the kicks are rougher. After the euphoric climax, they close the remix with rawer sounding part. Really love this track!
And once again these two artists, Vortex and Francesco Zeta, delivered a real masterpiece of pure Hardstyle. In fact, with such an impressive discography, we didn't really expect anything else. Last week, Q-dance announced X-Qlusive Italy, on October the 1st in the HMH, Amsterdam. With releases like this I can't imagine that at least one of these guys wouldn't be invited. I have always been a sucker for Italian Hardstyle, and with this kind of music I can only wish it will be the 1st of October very very soon....
