Fear.FM Release DB
Last week, the Noisecontrollers treated us to a very cool, straight forward release: "Give it up". Following discussions on the net, I was barely surprised to see that most people related this track to "Gimme Love".
This week, Digital:Age brings us some euphoric sounds with good ol' Wildstylez and his amazing melodies. I can say that this is how I like my Hardstyle. Funky intro, cool and simple vocals, great and uplifting melodies and some nicely placed kicks which certainly fit the track.
The (mid) intro is great. It's not too complex, but just builds up on what the track is all about: Filling our hearts and souls with great Hardstyle music.
The vocal cleverly reminds us that all electronic music descends from House music. Complain as much as you want, but it's all "just" House music and that's what we live for. Bring that back to Hardstyle and I'll clearly say: like it Raw, euphoric, bouncy, techy, it's all just Hardstyle and that's what we live for! So, don't go stressing or spazzing out, enjoy it, embrace it, live it!
And then Mr Wildstylez does what he's good at. Making shivers shoot up each and every person's spine as the melody hits and we're treated to some magical Hardstyle as the climax builds up to that whoppingly awesome Wildstylez kick. Watch how even the most sceptical Hardstyle critic standing next to you, arms crossed with a look of discontent on their face lets loose. The smile returning to his or her face and letting the music take over. Watch how every single soul at the next event you attend is jumping around to these euphoric sounds, an endless, waving sea of bodies floating away. These magical 4 minutes capturing the essence of Hardstyle. Unity, happiness and an unmatchable energy that grabs your attention and never lets you go.
I can say this much. Wildstylez is a modern day crossover between Michaelangelo (no, not that awesome ninja turtle - although, I guess Wildstylez can also be perceived as a real "party dude") and Beethoven. This is art. Chillingly beautiful melodies and rock hard sound design. If you could frame this masterpiece, it would most definately share a place next to the Mona Lisa.
I love it when artists knock some sense back into the scene. There's no use complaining about this and that, there's no need for hatred and discontent. Embrace what we've been given, enjoy it as much as you can and just make the most of every single second you're at your favorite party, listening to what (hopefully) is your favorite genre of music. Just look around you. So many people enjoying what you love, sharing the moment and witnessing the same feelings as you. Lives filled with stress and possible sorrows are forgotten as the music sweeps you away into a parallel universe where, even just for one night, all your troubles are forgotten and you share a connection with each and every partygoer around you. This is what Back2Basics means to me.
Oh yeah! Don't forget to fist pump like a maniac when this drops. Because, DAYUM!
