As I lay in bed, slowly awaking from my lucious sleep, I check my wall of tweets and notice something. Wildstylez has let the world know that his new release on Digital:Age has hit the Hardstyle.com portal. I lay back for a second and nearly forget that, even though today is a public holiday for many people, Hardstyle releases don't take holidays and neither do reviewers! It's time to jump out of bed, power up and download the latest release: Wildstylez - Into the Light.
Wildstylez has let some funky sounds creep into the intro again. It's a great start, but once the mid intro hits, all hell breaks loose. It has a nice strong kick, with a fair amount of bass to please the vast majority of Hardstyle lovers and some great sounds floating around in the distance.
Of course, a strong mid intro needs a soft break, to get you pumped before the climax rolls in. So, break time!
I have to be honest, the break, the lead up to the climax and the actual climax all sound familiar to me.
Although not quite the same, the whole use of the synth and buildup really does remind me of.... Noisecontrollers & Wildstylez - Stardust.
It could also just be my morning ears that are still dreaming away, refusing to be awakened by these early morning Hardstyle sessions, but nonetheless, this track really gives me the same "emotional" feeling than when I first listened to Stardust. It's not bad, so I'm just going to see this as the sequel story to Stardust.
If you may remember, in the Stardust review, I lost myself to the images flashing through my mind as the track blasted through my speakers. Images of a young star, yearning to explore the vast emptiness of space. No longer wanting to shine bright, out of sight, in the forgotten crevices of outerspace. This young star wanted to be free, to be that fine diamond in the rough, the pinnacle of light all other heavenly objects admire.
We left our young star shooting off into the unknown, stardust trailing behind him as he heads off into the endless journey through the outer realms of space. Don't remember? Check it out here.
Into the Light will be this reviews attempt on the last legs of the young star's journey. Leading him into the light, where his dreams of being something more, will be met with absolution.
Now, head on over to the break and let's get this story going.
Our young star, after finally traveling for millions of light years through vast amounts of space, through countless glistening galaxies, passed unknown alien planets, heroically blasting through asteroid belts and avoiding the perils of black holes and the gravitational pull of gigantic heavenly entities, has finally made his way into the regions of our very own galaxy. The Milky Way. Upon entering, his heart jumps as flashes of his dreams shoot by. This is his final destination, a place where he can shine bright, a place where he knows he'll be seen for the beautiful entity he is. And he knows millions of living creatures will one day look up to him in great awe and admiration, into the light of dreams!
Spiraling through the Milky Way, the young star must fight off the gate keepers, the guardians of our galaxy who protect us all from universal peril, like antibodies protect us from alien bacteria during times of sickness.
A dream is never easy to fulfill, as obstacles are always finding their way into our paths. But, with your eyes fixed on your final goal and with great persistence, you will reach your final target. And this is just what our young star has done. Eyes fixed on our solar system, his place amoungst our stars, he battles his way through the onslaught of guardians, obstacles in his way. This galactic battle, his last stronghold to finally fulfill his dreams, heading into the light.
Explosions of stardust can be seen all around as stars collide, asteroids shot off in a fiery fury like bullets being shot into the night sky, lighting up the darkness beyond.
With a final push through this fog of war, our star finally enters Earth's Solar System as an eery silence sets in. This is where he can shine bright, his final resting place where he can settle down and be the speck of hope and admiration in this nighttime painting.
When you look into the night sky, dreaming of greater things in your life, look for the star that shines the brightest, showing off its beauty. For this is the young star, burning bright with contempt as his dreams are fulfilled. A reminder to live your life to the fullest and to live your dreams!
This goes without saying that Wildstylez has done another fine job in this masterpiece. Setting off countless emotions with another beautiful melody, complimented by great kicks that fit the track well. I love the synth and I love the way this track eats away at my soul with utter beauty, the way that Wildstylez' tracks always do.
I really like the mid intro/outro as the kicks aren't too heavy, yet heavy enough to give this emotional track a dark twist.
I'm slowly starting to understand the Hardstyle sounds Digital:Age is trying to capture. Although not too different, the sounds used are placed well and each track has already built up quite some different emotions along the way. As we're drawing close to the end of Digital:Age's 10 releases in 10 weeks hotstreak, I'm already eager to enjoy other works of art from this label and very curious to what the future will bring.
